Swimming pool survey for home buyers

Swimming Pool Survey

New home buyers have a survey which is supposedly a detailed inspection of a property’s condition. The surveyor will inspect the property and tell you if there are:

  • Structural problems like walls almost falling down or subsidence
  • Major repairs or alterations needed like roof or chimney chute repairs, or rewiring
  • Expert commentary on the property, from the type of wall to the type of glazing
  • NO SWIMMING POOL REPORT

But they do not survey your swimming pool for any faults or its general condition

  • Major repairs
  • Leaking pipe work below ground
  • Leaking structure
  • Plant room condition

With the information from our swimming pool survey you might reconsider whether to buy the property or try and renegotiate the price – if you find it needs £15,000 of repairs to the pool due to damaged pipe work belowground & leaking tanking, it is reasonable to ask for £15,000 off the price.

Alternatively, you might ask the seller to fix the problems before you buy the property as its very expensive repair.

Swimming Pool Survey includes:
  • Pressure Test Circulation Pipe Work (Above & Below Ground)
  • Camera Survey
  • Sonde tracking
  • Pool Tank condition
  • Plant room Health check
  • Diving Team Dye Testing
  • Chemical dosing panel
  • Plant room operation & condition
